The MBAdvantage: Diversity Outreach Benchmarking Report delivers an innovative framework for evaluating graduate business schools on their diversity recruitment practices. The report provides individual assessments of more than 50 top MBA programs as well as overall findings and recommendations for strengthening diversity outreach efforts.
Key Findings
In aggregate, the top business schools have solid diversity web presence. They should (a) more consistently highlight their diversity outreach efforts (b) showcase their guiding principles on diversity, and (c) be transparent in reporting minority student recruitment results.
Business schools that had at least one diversity-related page on their websites significantly outperformed those that did not in all categories of the Framework, including Diversity Recruitment Results. 80.4% of schools assessed had at least one diversity page.
Women are drastically under-represented on the top business schools’ advisory/ governing boards, on average, accounting for less than 15%. 20% of the schools assessed had less than 10% women on their advisory boards, while only one school had more than 30% women.
